Frequently asked questions
Q: What are your COVID-19 procedures?
All staff have completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry.
We ask that if you, or any of the people you live with, test positive for COVlD-19 then please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE SALON FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.
Q: Do I require a Patch test for tinting and lash lifts?
A: Yes, if you haven’t had this treatment at OUR salon within the last 6 months or your medical position has changed. There will be no exceptions.
Q: What do I need to do prior to a spray tan?
- Exfoliate: It’s crucial to exfoliate your skin before a spray tan to remove dead skin cells. Use a gentle scrub or exfoliating mitt to achieve smooth and even skin. Pay extra attention to areas with rough skin, such as elbows, knees, and ankles.
- Shave or Wax: If you prefer to shave or wax, do it at least 24 hours before your spray tan appointment. This helps avoid irritation and allows the pores to close, reducing the likelihood of uneven tanning.
- Avoid Moisturisers: Skip applying moisturisers, lotions, or oils on the day of your spray tan. These can create a barrier on the skin, preventing the tanning solution from adhering properly.
- Remove Makeup and Deodorant: Remove any makeup, deodorant, or other skincare products from your skin before the spray tan session. These products can interfere with the tanning solution and may lead to uneven coloration.
- Wear Dark, Loose Clothing: Opt for loose, dark-coloured clothing to wear after your spray tan session. Tight clothing can rub against the tan, potentially causing streaks, and dark clothing helps avoid staining from the tanning solution.
- Timing: Schedule your spray tan at least a day before any special events or activities that involve water, sweating, or heavy physical activity. This gives the tan time to develop and set properly.
Q: Do you treat under 18’s?
A: We do, but only when accompanied by their Parent or Guardian on their initial visit.
Q: What length does my hair have to be for it to be waxed?
A: Your hair needs to be about the length of a grain of rice so about 1/4 inch.
Q: Do you offer a student discount?
A: Students receive 10% discount on Mondays and Tuesdays with a valid Student ID card.
